FINALS WEEK December 12, 2009

Boy am I glad that finals are over. NOT! I really don’t want to know my grades. I wish I can say that I did well, but seriously, the fact that I know that a curve is there, haunting me, isn’t going to boost up my mojo.

*sigh* It’s raining right now and I just love it. The pitter-pattering never stops soothing my soul. The sound is just so elegant and rhythmic. Since there isn’t much to do right now, I’m going to talk about my finals week just so I can pass some time.

SATURDAY/SUNDAY (12/5-6/09)

I studied for Economics cause the final was on Monday. It was not fun. Huong, a girl I befriended from Grey Havens (a neighboring hall connected to Calmindon [where I live]), and I decided to study together. I really despise Economics. Well, actually, I take that back. I despise the unorganized lectures we receive on powerpoints. The meaning of monopoly, oligopoly, perfect competition, etc. are all splattered around. It’s really confusing, and yeah, I don’t fancy it.

MONDAY (12/7/09)

ECON FINAL @ 12:30. I met Sally Wang at the bookstore and oh yeah, it was raining pouring… HARD! I was thoroughly soaked when I reached my destination after the 15 minute walk. Well, anyways, took the test that was oh so confusing and went to sleep once I reached my room.

TUESDAY/WEDNESDAY  (12/8-9/09)

Okay, I’ll admit it. I didn’t study at all for these two days. Why? Well, cause, duh. No final. So yeah. Basically slept through the days or was I playing bejeweled?? hmm.. i forget.

THURSDAY (12/10/09)

I studied!!! and it was SECRET SANTA DAY TOO!! I’ll talk about the latter more since it is a much more interesting topic. Weeell, around 1-ish, we gathered in our little lobby and exchanged presents!! The first person to go was Anthony, who wasn’t there, who gave Simon a shirt that didn’t arrive yet so it was just a box that had a piece of paper saying, “Coming Soon.” haha Next was Kevin who gave Jenny a 21 Forever gift card. Jenny gave Heather a really cute brown skirt. Heather then gave me *DRUM ROLL*… VANS!!!!!! I was seriously estatic cause I thought Heather had Bonnie but in reality she had me but it was really mind-jumbling to me since she was about to give her gift to Bonnie and suddenly turned to me, and I was like, I thought you had Bonnie but they were like noo, so opened the present and the first thing I see was one amazing word on that box… vans. So, I was like, HELL YEAH! and opened the box and saw my lovely beautiful black vans. Yay me!

Well, it was my turn and I had Colleen. I KNEW that my gift wasn’t so great, so I felt really terrible. I got her pj pants, scarf/gloves, and a necklace. Not the best gifts a friend of 7 years should give but hey, I’m not the most creative person in the world. But yeah, I was happy that Colleen told me that she liked it. Colleen then gave Shiang his gift which were Mario pajamas. Shiang’s gift for Kevin didn’t come in time so yeah, but Bonnie went next and gave Cecilia her gift which was a Twilight poster that got accidentally ripped when she opened it, and a shirt, I think? Well, Cecilia then gave Lily a domo doll and Lily couldn’t go cause she had Anthony who wasn’t there. So Ana went and gave Bonnie prettiful prettiful clothes. Natasha’s turn and gave Ana also prettiful prettiful clothes. It’s really heart-warming to see the happy faces each other has when they open their presents. I really liked how each person somewhat had surprising shock on their face when they each opened their presents they received from a friend. It feels nice. haha. Well, the last to open her present was Natasha, given from Simon. I would say that it took about 10 minutes until we got to the actual present, which was a nice blue shirt.

All in all, this was my first Secret Santa exchange ever and so happy that it all worked out very well. Afterwards, I was depressed again cause I had to study for Sociology. The final was at 10:30 the next day.

I nearly pulled an all-nighter that night, but I fell asleep. he.

FRIDAY (12/11/09)

SOCIO FINAL! UGH! I hated my seat cause the guy next to me smelled of nicotine and sh*t. Basically, he was a smoker and the air I breathed was really congested. Two hours later, I went back to my room and packed. It’s really depressing. Three weeks of not seeing Calmindon and the people there. Totally breaks my heart.

I hung out with Hassan and Danny a little in Hassan’s room. I was ranting on how he always beats me in everything and how difficult the Socio test was… somewhat. We had lots of interesting talks haha. I showed them, ppl who came in later who were Alvin and this girl I don’t know, the beyonce fail clip and we laughed our heads off. Then I went to watch Chuck with Colleen, Kevin, and Shiang. Fun stuff. and OMG!! ALEX SU came to visit! I miss him so much!! I love his three moles, one on each cheek and the last on the chin. So cute!! haha Around 9, Colleen and I departed from Calmindon and Kevin who said good-bye and yeah. Winter break is starting and I’ll attempt to enjoy it as much as possible.

SATURDAY (12/12/09)

Right now, I’m freezing and honestly, there isn’t a lot to do. My dad made me read a kids book today talking about Benjamin Franklin. I fell asleep. :x And yeah, now there isn’t a lot of stuff to do. I guess I’ll go read a book now. Dang it, I had a lot to say, but I forgot all of them. Ah well. Yay! Finals week is over. Can’t wait for the new start in Winter Quarter where I’ll be taking Econ for sure. I’m trying to get management. Not sure if I want Math or Anthro. I want my Bio Sci class tho. :O and yeah. haha. life’s still confusing as ever.

oh yeah, my skin got scraped off when i was trying to do a good deed. I went with Bonnie (in 3 in the morning) to go get her laptop, but what does God do to me? He makes me slip in a puddle, my skin gets scraped off my foot, and now I walk with a limp. Yay me.

Fuck, I Never Actually Learned SHIT!

So, my first final this week is ECON and I’m going to take it in an hour. My heart is like beating SUPER fast and it won’t slow down. I really wish that I do well because I DID study a lot, but my head is just really confused right now and I’m like ugh, can’t tell the difference between monopoly, monpolistic competition, etc. etc.  Screw this, I’m just going to wing it. Be back around 3:45 to talk about it (if I’m not lazy…)

Just finished eating some midnight snacks, basically consisting of fruits. Before that, I took a shower since I played tennis earlier. Dang it is colddd at night. Oh! And I also got a blister. A “beautiful” picture laterrr.

Anywho, today was most productive [*cough*...not]. I typed out a lot of notes that might be on the Sociology Final. Ugh. What I’m not really into my sociology class is how the professor doesn’t really prepare us well. He just talks and blabs on about random topics related to our subject. He doesn’t really talk about the subject itself. Oh well, this is college. :/ Haha. I also I ADMIT! played neopets today. Hey, I’m pretty proud of myself. Got a lot of prizes today. Not bad. :D *pat self on back* And yeah, I also have to admit I watched a bit of Korean drama. It’s oldish(?) I think; it’s called Lovers. Creative, isn’t it… So yeah, that’s what happened today.

Yesterday, the exciting that happened to me then just reading a book was that I went to Best Buy, and on a Black Friday Day too! *GASP!* :OOO but it was dumb cause all we bought was a memory chip for my mom’s camera when she’s planning to go to China. Oh and now I remember what I wanted to talk about. It’s funny to see some TCHS classmates working. They’re not people I’m close to but I really couldn’t stop noticing how they work. Like I saw Tania [Mercado] working at Chase and Tracee [van derWyck] and Robert [Reynolds] working at Pavillions yesterday. I find it funny yet I’m stunned. Don’t know why, but yeah. It’s like we were all kids before and now, we’re actually “adults” who need to work to get money for college, living expenses… life? Quite shocking. *O*

Anywho, tomorrow I’m excited to get back to Irvine. Haha. I don’t really want to say I miss it cause I don’t cause it’s totally reminding me of finals, but aw, what the heck… I MISS IRVINE!!!! I wanna go back ASAP. lol and yeah, I think I’m going to sleep soon. ciao!

TURKEY DAY! November 26, 2009

Happy Thanksgiving!! Today is indeed turkey day, BUT my family isn’t going to eat turkey. Nahhh. Instead, we’re going to eat lobster, crabs, seafood, etc. etc. The joys of being an Asian. Actually, I’m not all that sad about not eating a turkey or something. I’m just glad that I’m home and yeah. College has been stressing me out a lot. I’ve been sleeping late due to homework, projects, essays. NOT fun… at all. I can’t wait till finals are over. I need a new beginning again. PLEASE WINTER QUARTER!! COME FASTER!! :P

I’m soo tired right now. My sleeping patterns are seriously screwed up. Suddenly, 10 o’ clock seems early and 2 means bedtime. I think I should really re-adjust my sleep schedule. I also seriously need to exercise. I GOT MY FRESH 20! Now it’s time to lose it all. RAHRAH!! Also, I just want to say, I’m somewhat tired of the food at Irvine. It’s not that it’s bad. It’s just redundant… (and yeah, I worry about the calorie intake as well :x) Wow. I’m so tired, but there is just too many things to do.

Thanksgiving this year is going to be a bore. None of my cousins are here to celebrate it with me. Irene is at NY and Andrew is at Northwestern. All alone… Just with Grown-Ups. Oh well, I have my books to study finals for… haha as if.

End of Week 6 November 7, 2009

Wow, I can’t believe that Week 6 of college is already over. Week 7 is just coming up in two days. Time flies by too fast; it is quite depressing. lol

I don’t remember much of this week cause it’s been too crazy. My suite is epic bomb, including, Simon, Jenny, Bonnie, and Cecilia who always visits. haha. Let’s see. I’ll just jot down some major points that I remember.

• Returned to Irvine on Sunday around 4-ish and hung out. I can’t remember what we did.
• Lots of late-night snacking contributed by Simon. SO CUTE!!
• Started this no-cussing chart thing. I’m losing so far. T_T but not losing as much compared to some other people. lol Got tallied 3 times, once by my RA. >:O lol
• Haven’t been to Pippin for three days? maybe two. I like Brandywine better. :p smaller and cuter and has Popsicles.
• classes are frustrating. Starting the RA paper in Writing. I stayed awake in my Socio class for once. :O oh i’m going to sit behind my RA on Tuesday, so I can get some “motivation” :P And for econ, I accidentally didn’t go to two lectures. hehe. The first time was on Wednesday where I overslept, and the second time was when I was just plain lazy. MY BAD!! so anywho, yeah… won’t happen again -_-”
• had a LOT of movie runs. The Ugly Truth, The Proposal, He’s Just Not That Into You, many Disney movies.
• ALWAYS losing in Ping Pong now against Kevin. Makes me sad. :( lol
• still failing in volleyball but getting better at the same time.
• buying a $1.19 cinnamon stick and later getting attacked by a bee. :(
• … that’s all i remember. :/ hahaha okay.

And yesterday, was the TCHS HOMECOMING GAME!! It was my first time at a football game. Amazingly, I somewhat began to understand it and was actually watching it. Went with Simon, Colleen, and Melinda. Watched my cousin, Irene, perform. SO CUTE!!! I could not stop squealing. GAH! Simon was being “annoying” hinting and teasing about my past crush. >:O lol jk. :P can’t possibly be mad at simon. The “love story” was pretty cute. haha. Kind of happy that I went and got to see all the familiar faces that I haven’t seen in a long time. made me happy :). No regrets at all. hehe. We TCHS won, btw. GJ!

I Hate Canker Sores -_- November 3, 2009

So life isn’t too bad right now. I’m somewhat stressing over my Writing class but other than that I’m okay. I still don’t know my Econ Midterm Score but I know that I am really really really average in socio cause my score was the same score as the average of the class. Sad, much? Well anyways, I’m pretty sad that I’m eating whatever my hands get a hold on. No self-discipline. Argh. Pitiful. I should be doing homework, so I’ll do that real soon.

Oh today, I walked with my RA, Hassan, to Sociology class together. It was pretty awkward cause people we know are like hmmmmmm….. hahaa. oh well.

I really want to watch Tropic Thunder and Superbad and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and more but meh. I SOMEDAY WILL THO!! I just recently watched The Proposal, The Ugly Truth, and He’s Just Not That Into You. EPIC CUTE MOVIES!! LOVE them all. wish i was one of the main character ;) hehe.

Midterms…. OVER!! October 31, 2009

I’m pretty happy that midterms are over. Even though I may not have done so well, I’m relieved.

I can’t remember everything right now, but I just want to jot down a few memories from my head. On Thursday, we had a Halloween suite competition and Oh. Em. Gee. THE STAN SUITE WON THE 50 DOLLARS TO YOOOOOGURTLAAAAAND!!!! Whoo-HOO! We based it off of the Ring theme and yay for HEATHER!! who was epic scary cause she was the girl from that movie. I just hid behind a wall screaming my head off and until my throat got sore. But oh well, it was fun. Stupid sorta after a while, but fun.
